Project Description
Client: Newport Pacific Land Development
Location: Santa Clarita, CA
RGI Utility Consultants (RGI), a PROACTIVE company, is responsible for the dry utility master planning for the various segments of the residential backbone roadways and separate residential enclaves within the overall development of this new master planned community. Of particular importance is the upgrading of the backbone facilities in existing off-site roadways. Extensive planning and coordination were necessary to maintain services to the existing water towers while new grading occurred, as well as relocations of existing aerial facilities to accommodate this 1,270-acre, 820 home, master planned community. Southern California Edison (SCE) did not have this community within their 10-year plan, therefore RGI had to work with SCE engineering to move up their planned new circuit to be delivered one year earlier to accommodate our planned phasing development.
Highlights:
- Aerial relocations
- Updating existing infrastructure and “Protect-in-Place” existing underground facilities
- Temporary 3-phase power to existing water tower
- Coordination with SCE engineering to bring in planned new circuit one year earlier
- Backbone infrastructure upgrades for new residential communities
